Overview
IPWhois.net Blacklist checks whether an IP is listed in spam/abuse blacklists — keyless.
⚠️ Gotcha (verified 2026-08): anonymous requests hit HTTP 429 “Too Many Requests” quickly (a 60KB rate-limit page) — the anonymous tier is heavily rate-limited. Space your calls or use the paid tier.
What it provides
curl "https://ipwhois.net/blacklist/check?ip=8.8.8.8"
{ "ip": "8.8.8.8", "blacklists": [] }
Authentication
None (anonymous, rate-limited); paid plans raise limits.
Rate Limits & Notes
- Anonymous: strict rate limits (429 observed, verified).
- Checks common spam/abuse blacklists for an IP.
FAQ
