OpenUV provides real-time and forecast UV Index data for any location — current UV, daily max, hourly forecast, and UV-protection guidance. A niche but genuinely useful API for sun-exposure apps, health widgets, and outdoor-safety features.

Current UV for a location (replace YOUR_KEY):

Authentication

• Register at openuv.io for a free key.
• Send it as the x-access-token header.

Rate Limits & Notes

• Free tier: 50 requests/day — enough for a daily widget or scheduled check.
• The response includes uv (current index), uv_max, uv_max_time, and an ozone value.
• UV Index scale: 0-2 Low, 3-5 Moderate, 6-7 High, 8-10 Very High, 11+ Extreme.
• Requires lat/lng (decimal degrees) plus optional dt timestamp for forecasts.
